About Me

Cvetozar has served as a Concertmaster with the Kamloops Symphony since 2005. He is a registered violin and viola teacher, and teaches violin, viola, chamber music and string orchestra with the Kamloops Symphony Music School.

Cvetozar is also a first violin player in the Okanagan Symphony since 2006. Since 2007, Cvetozar has been the music director of Vivace Chorale in Kamloops. In 2013 he joined the faculty of the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops as a choir instructor. Since 2012, Cvetozar has been the music director of the Kamloops Brandenburg Orchestra. In 2016 he was appointed a concertmaster with the Symphony of the Kootenays.

Cvetozar earned a master's degree in violin performance under Boyan Lechev at Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 1990. In 2016 he earned a doctor’s degree in musicology and musical arts at the same institution. He also attended violin master classes with Yfrah Neaman (UK) and Wolfgang Marschner (Germany). In 2000 Cvetozar earned a master’s degree in law at the Kliment Ochridski University of Sofia (Bulgaria).

Cvetozar has performed and taught violin, viola, chamber music and orchestra for 30 years. He has played in numerous solo, chamber, symphony and opera performances in 12 European countries, Rep. of Korea, Japan and Canada.
