Concert Details

The Sycamore Quartet teams up with local clarinet legend Sally Arai in a lyrical program of music by Vernon’s Imant Raminsh, Nelson’s Doug Jamieson, and the ever-bubbly Allan Gilliland.

Doug Jamieson (b. 1949) – A Canadian Folktale, for string quartet

Allan Gilliland (b. 1965) – Suite from the Sound, for clarinet and string quartet

Parry’s Ground (Moderately fast) – Waltz for Mr. Evans (Slowly) – Flying Fingers (Fast, with rhythmic intense)

Imant Raminsh (b. 1943) – Aria (Andante con moto), from the quintet for clarinet and string quartet (2021)
