Concert Details

The Sycamore Quartet teams up with local clarinet legend Sally Arai in a lyrical program of music by Vernon’s Imant Raminsh, Nelson’s Doug Jamieson, and the ever-bubbly Allan Gilliland.

Tickets for the online concert remain available for purchase until the end of the day on Friday, September 24. The video recording from the concert can be viewed online until Friday, September 24, 10:30 PM.

Doug Jamieson (b. 1949) – A Canadian Folktale, for string quartet

Allan Gilliland (b. 1965) – Suite from the Sound, for clarinet and string quartet

Parry’s Ground (Moderately fast) – Waltz for Mr. Evans (Slowly) – Flying Fingers (Fast, with rhythmic intense)

Imant Raminsh (b. 1943) – Aria (Andante con moto), from the quintet for clarinet and string quartet (2021)
